Chief Executive Officer of the South African Local Government Association (SALGA)
Before becoming CEO of SALGA Xolile George worked in various functions for the City of Johannesburg, including as Executive Director of the Economic Development Department and as Regional Director. He also worked for the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) for one of Johannesburg’s regions. Other employers of Mr. George include the Amathole District Municipality (East London) and the Department of Housing and Local Government. He also served as Board Member (Director) on the Border Rural Committee.
