Mayor of the Tecoluca Municipality (El Salvador)
Simón Antonio Amaya organized his life since he was an adolescent to fight for justice and peace in his country. His vision has always been that there can be no peace without the participation of the citizenry. That is why he has participated starting in the community, mancomunal, and municipal levels encouraging the participation of the citizenry and solidarity among the population. He has encouraged the dialog, social agreement, and participation by women, young people, institutions, and other sectors of society, as well as harmony with the environment.
