Patrick Gavigan

Patrick Gavigan is an international lawyer with broad expertise in the role of human rights, rule of law and transitional justice in conflict and post-conflict recovery states. His academic study in these areas is complemented by extensive field experience with the United Nations with peacekeeping missions in Central America and Africa and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Balkans. He has also worked with NGOs and consulted for development agencies on these issues. Mr. Gavigan’s education background includes a JD from Columbia Law School, a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, and four years of PhD work at Princeton in International Relations.
