Senior Policy Advisor of UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Klelija Balta is now senior policy adviser of UNDP Bosnia and Herzegovina, in charge of gender policy and management issues. In 1993, she set up the Department of International Relations of the city of Tuzla, and developed a number of international municipal projects for Tuzla. In the period of 1995 – 1997, she was director of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Tuzla, a local peace and human rights NGO. In that capacity, she was one of the key persons in the development of the ABC programme for Tuzla (Assistance to Bosnian Communities).
