Chair of the Institutional Committee of the Council of Europe and Councillor in Manchester (United Kingdom)

Keith Whitmore has been elected member of the Manchester City Council for 29 years now. He is also member of the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority. Furthermore, he has served as a member of the Greater Manchester Council. He is the Liberal Democrat lead member on the Local Government Association Resources Panel, which is responsible for the management of the national England and Wales Local Government Association. Internationally, Keith Whitmore - besides being Chair of the Institutional Committee – has been chair of the Sustainable Development Committee for four years. He is also member of the CEMR Policy Committee and used to be member of the Committee of the Regions of the European Union.
