Jim Hunt

Immediate Past President of the National League of Cities (USA)

Jim Hunt is also a council member and former Mayor of the City of Clarksburg, West Virginia. He has served as President of the West Virginia Municipal League. He was selected in 2002 to be part of a study tour of the Peoples Republic of China sponsored by the United States State Department. In 2006, Jim was selected as “Municipal Leader of the Year” by American City and County Magazine.
Jim co-founded The Unity Project, a civil rights organization in West Virginia, in 1999 and has worked in Selma, Alabama with Mayor James Perkins to develop a reconciliation project to address issues of racism and social justice. Jim also was a featured presenter at the Connecting Communities Conference in Caux, Switzerland in 2002. He speaks and consults on issues of excellence in local government.
