Irma Dioli
Councillor for Participation, Peace, International Cooperation, Sport, and Youth Policies, Milan Province (Italy)
Irma Dioli is actively involved in social inclusion and peace initiatives, organizations and networks, at provincial, national and international level. She is a member of the UCLG Executive Board and Vice-President of the Social Inclusion and Participative Democracy Committee of UCLG. She is also a member of the executive board of the International Association of Peace Messenger Cities and of the technical board of the Local Authorities Forum (FAL) and adheres to the Mayors for Peace network. Furthermore, she is the President of the Milan Provincial Fund for International Cooperation, and of the House of Peace Coordination Committee. She is also a member of the Local Authorities National Coordination for Peace and Human Rights, and of the New Municipality Network Association Executive Office. As a Provincia di Milano Councillor, she supports themes related to Peace, Human Rights and cooperation between the North and the South of the world with the overall aim of favouring a non-violent culture of peace and spreading the notion of world citizenship.
