Mayor of Treichville, President of the Union of Cities and Towns of Ivory Coast
François Albert Amichia has been the Mayor of the Community of Treichville in the Ivory Coast since 1996. He was president of the Ivorian Forum for Urban Security (FISU) in 1998 and since 2002 he has been President of the Towns and Communities Union of the Ivory Coast (UVICOCI). During his professional life, Mr. Amichia received a Doctorate in Contemporary History from the University of Nice (France) in 1980 and he was a professor and researcher in the Institute for the History of African Art and Archeology (IHAAA) at the University of Cocody in 1981; later he was Joint and Interim Director from 1993 until 1996.
