Farid Jaber

Director of the Projects Planning and Development Department of Beit Sahour Municipality (Palestinian Territories)
Farid Jaber is involved in a development project between The Hague and Palestinian and Israeli local governments, that focuses on Geographical Information Systems (part of the Dutch Good Local Government Programme LOGO South). Before becoming director in March 2006, he has fulfilled a number of other positions including Institutional Consultant and Strategic Planner of Beit Sahour Municipality; Executive Director of the Bethlehem branch of The Palestinian Union of Social Workers and Psychologists; Co-director of The Alternative Information Center Jerusalem/Bethlehem. He has also worked in various functions for the Early Childhood Resource Center, UNICEF and the Save the Children Federation (all in Jerusalem) and as social worker for the Swedish International Relief Association (Bethlehem) and the UN Relief Woks Agency for Palestine Refugees (Hebron).
