Mayor of Caldoso (Colombia)
Professional public administrator. During more than 20 years, she has been a departmental and municipal public official, president of the communal council and of the community aqueduct, social leader in peasant and women's organizations in the Caldoso Municipality. She has been a follower of the indigenous process and of the Caldoso indigenous territorial entity proposal. She was elected mayor by the Indigenous and Peasant movement of Caldoso, the first municipality of the country that 'rose up' in civil resistance before the attacks of the subversives.
